Aniline leather carpet bag, this travel bag is all made from the same leather hide from Yarwood leathers, therefore the leather is all the same colour and quality. This large weekender bag features a semi solid bag base with bag feet, hand crafted carry handles that are both riveted and stitched, an adjustable shoulder strap, a spring loaded bag frame that " pops " open and " snaps " shut and a twist bag lock on the front.
The inside is fully lined with beige and mustard mulberry tree linen fabric and features a large zippered pocket with a leather zip facing, 2 slip pockets, a key clip and 2 x D ringd for your detachable shoulder strap.
Measurements approx 36 cm ( 14" ) tall x 48 cm ( 19") across the base x 23 cm ( 9" ) deep base, as this bag has a spring frame, it will open out to 41 cm ( 16" ) x 20 cm ( 8" ). The leather handles are approx. 41 cm long. The detachable strap is approx. 80 cm long but can be made longer.
This bag will also come with a dust cover bag to keep it clean and dust free.
As this is a leather bag it will age and last for many years to come but you will need to keep it supple with a leather treatment.
Aniline leather is a type of leather dyed exclusively with soluble dyes. The dye colours the leather without producing the uniform surface of a topcoat paint or insoluble pigmented sealant. The resulting product retains the hide's natural surface. Any visible variations on the surface of the undyed leather such as visible pores, scars, or other blemishes will remain visible. For this reason, only high quality leather is suitable for aniline finishing.
